The roosters started their call before 5am this morning....and so begins another day in Africa!

It is quite amazing to wake to an African sunrise.
Both Makai and Adaya were up before 6am....which wouldn't have been an issue had Paul, Mom and I not been up until after midnight partying....and by partying I mean a table of snacks and a good game of scrabble. And I won, as per usual.
There is a government strike here and the town is alive with unrest. There is a march in the street every morning and on Tuesday the water to the town was shut off and hasn't been on since. Feels like we are camping..and you all know how I feel about camping.
We went into Pietermaritzberg today for a little change of scenery and to get a few needed items. It was a good first outing...nice and short. As we turned into Richmond at the end of our journey Adaya was screaming for milk and Makai was very annoyed with the crying.
We are so thankful to have Gogo here. It is so nice to have the extra hands and she is very much enjoying the Africa experience.
Adaya is excited to have a big brother and Makai is indifferent. She wishes he would play with her more and he is thinking, "get back to me when you can actually keep up".
Now ready to get the kiddies to bed and break out the scrabble board. If I win, I'll post again...if not...the game never happened.
